This high end residential project required a major overhaul of an existing 30 year old property located on a steep sloping site offering over the Ivanhoe and Eaglemont region. The new design opens out generous open plan living spaces in what was previously a highly compartmentalised layout, with new large operable doors which invite the views into the house and connect the large balcony area to the living spaces. The appointment of tasteful finishes, fixtures and appliances round off the internal transformation. The new works also involved the extensive upgrade of the building fabric to provide year round thermal comfort and vastly reduce energy usage which is reflected in the buildings energy star increase from one to six stars.
